At this time it looks like we will be getting Bledsoe for Affalo, so it looks like the SG is the direction we will be going, at least it would be if I was the GM. So this is what I would do. If Noel drops to two, I would pick him up.
If Noel does not drop, I would draft Oladipo. I would contact the Suns, and say I would be willing to trade draft rights for McLemore, and a future draft pick, either 30 this year, or possible first round next year. (I would have also pursued Burke, but with the Bledsoe trade looking like a sure thing at the time of this writing, no reason to get another PG)
If the suns resisted, I would include the 51 pick in the exchange and also take their 57. (Remember the Weber-Hardaway trade, and the three picks we got for that?) I would likely pick up Rice Jr with the 30th or a PG if available, but kind of hard to figure out what to do that late in the draft until that time comes.
Reasons why? It sounds like the Suns are real high on Olapido, and will fit into his system fine. If they agree, we save money on salary, and pick up another asset. If not, we still have Olapido.
So, what do you think? Flame suit is on and ready!!!! Does the NBA even allow something like this anymore?
