Tobias Harris and Nik Vučević came up big for the Orlando Magic in Wednesday's win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Harris had 30 points, 19 rebounds, and five assists, while Vučević had 30 points, 20 rebounds, and five assists of his own as Orlando pulled away for a 113-103 overtime victory.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau and as passed on by a Magic spokesperson, Harris and Vučević became the first pair of teammates to tally 30-plus points and 19-plus rebounds in the same game since March 15th, 1967. That night, New York Knicks big men Willis Reed (31 points, 21 rebounds) and Walt Bellamy (32 points, 22 rebounds) hit that mark in a 121-114 loss to the Baltimore Bullets.
For perspective, the NBA's oldest active player is Kurt Thomas, and he was born more than five years after Reed and Bellamy accomplished that feat. Magic coach Jacque Vaughn and general manager Rob Hennigan were also not yet born in 1967.
