LaMarcus Aldridge and Jameer Nelson - USA TODAY Sports
Orlando entered Sunday's win against Portland on a 12-game losing streak. How did the Magic break it?
The Orlando Magic topped the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night, 110-104, to end their 12-game losing streak. After resting for three games to recover from a sore right shoulder, J.J. Redick scored 22 points off the bench to lead Orlando, while Nikola Vučević, Gustavo Ayón, and Jameer Nelson all added double-doubles. The victory came despite Portland getting 25 points from All-Star big man LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Magic prevailed on the strength of their interior game. Ayón and Vučević combined for 30 rebounds, helping Orlando outrebound Portland by a 50-38 margin and to hold a 60-46 edge in paint points.
Though rookie point guard Damian Lillard missed 15 of his 16 shot attempts, Portland shot 50.3 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range. But Orlando mitigated its defensive shortcomings by taking care of the ball (10 turnovers for 10 Portland points) and by shooting efficiently inside the three-point line.
