Did Magic get rid of Dwight at the right time?

This is probably a loaded question. From the limited number of Lakers games that I have seen, Dwight obviously doesn't look same. Whether that is the related to Dwight's back, shoulder or just the whole mess in LA. Or maybe part of it is his toxic attitude that has slowly been changing over the past few years. Most likely it is a mix of all of those issues.

From those limited LA games I have seen, Dwight just doesn't seem to jump as high or quickly as he use to and he can't move laterally as fast any more. Basically looks like he is tied down with an anchor sometimes. So I am just wondering if maybe we got lucky with trading Dwight before these issues get worse. Nothing like having a big man with back problems.

Btw for fun, here are the stats for both Dwight and Vuc for the month of January.

Dwight 11 games: 13.5pts/ 12.5reb/ 0.6 ast/ 0.6stl/ 2.1blk/ FG 59%/ FT 43%

Vuc 13 games: 14.5pts/ 13reb/ 1.7 ast/ 0.5stl/ 1.3blk/ FG 56%/ FT 73%
