Chris Sheridan:
Orlando would have to accept a package of Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, MarShon Brooks and multiple future first-round draft picks, and the Howard deal would take the form of a massive sign-and-trade.
This is moronic. If the Magic wanted to pay market value for middling free agents, they'd trade Dwight for Bynum, unload Turk, and then sign those guys themselves. Throwing $40 million at Gerald Wallace doesn't suddenly make him an asset. Deron is the only possible desirable asset the Nets are going to have anytime soon. Period.
