No, the Nets are not still "in the mix."

This is moronic. If the Magic wanted to pay market value for middling free agents, they'd trade Dwight for Bynum, unload Turk, and then sign those guys themselves. Throwing $40 million at Gerald Wallace doesn't suddenly make him an asset. Deron is the only possible desirable asset the Nets are going to have anytime soon.
