Worst Case Scenario

Having followed both the Heat and Magic since moving to Florida, Dwight Howard always seemed different. Now we know how true that is... just not in a good way.

I have to admit to finding satsifaction in the window to Brooklyn seemingly closing. Frankly, I could care less if Dwight wanted to go there, I just resent the games... especially since signing his extension. If he had just said he wanted out last fall and never changed his mind, I think most of us would have wished him well. I support the rights of players to play where they want, as long as they do it the right way, the one thing he has failed to do.

But I wonder why Houston would be dumb enough to trade for him? He says he only wants to go to Brooklyn. It looks like they can't sign him as a free agent next summer (right?), so what are the odds that he'd pull the same garbage in Houston.

So it got me wondering... what if Dwight realizes how much he screwed his chances to go to Brooklyn? What if he fears going to Houston as much as he apparently feared going to LA? What if... he changes his mind (again) and decides to stay?

To the Magic.... please, please... just trade him. Doesn't really matter what Houston offers. Get some salary cap relief, a few young players, whatever. Just make the trade happen before he changes his mind and tries to stay.
