I know a lot of things are still up in the air about personnel decisions, but I wanted to see if people wanted to keep the pick or trade it away. If the new GM can convince Dwight to be patient for 1 more year, the salary situation clears up dramtically. Especially if they can get rid of JRich or Turk's contract. Maybe the team could get a useful player in return. Some examples of what I was thinking of:
Charlotte: The Bobcats were historically bad and need actual NBA talent. Lots of it. If the Bobcats can flip the #2 pick for more picks(Cleveland, Portland, or Houston) and the Magic trade JRich or Big Baby and the #19 pick for Matt Carroll(expiring contract). They also have the #1 pick in the second round so they could add 4 picks plus JRich/Davis. Pretty good haul for them.
Minnesota: Seems like they are (finally) ready to compete for the playoffs and their SG spot was abysmal. Webster,Johnson, and Ellington all shot under 34% from 3. Trading JRich along with the #19 pick for maybe Anthony Randolph, but probably Johnson, would be good for them.
So what would you do with the pick? Any trade suggestions welcome.
