We still have a playoff series to play against the Pacers and the last two games have certainly been disappointing but despite being 5 point dogs at home and missing our best player , I'm curious what kind of effort we will see tonight from the Magic. Our big problem is and has been the lack of a perimeter player who can create his own offense. So we are limited to firing up three pointers which are a fickle mistress in the best of times, additionally we are getting killed on the glass in this series - more than anything else if your going to take three's you need some offensive rebounds.
Sadly so far, Glenn Davis is our top scorer and rebounder in this series, bench contributions from Clark have helped with rebounding. The big players who have disappeared are Jason Richardson and Jameer Nelson. Nelson and Richardson both put up more than 15 points in game 1, in games 2 and 3 Nelson has barely cracked double digits and Richardson has been totally M.I.A.. I hope we attempt to get both players involved early in the offense.
So what will we see this afternoon? I'm hoping more intensity from Nelson and Richardson, continued effort from Clark on the glass and if Anderson or Reddick can get hot from behind the arc...we might have a little something going.
