So we've all been hearing stats like Ryan having the top PER among Eastern Conference PFs, etc. I'd love to see an analysis on whether Ryan is actually that good. Qualitatively, it seems his scoring comes, to a greater extent that anyone on the team, when everyone is playing well. When we desperately need a bucket or rebound, he never seems to come through. Perhaps this is why he isn't as attractive a trade piece to other teams as several posts on this site seem to indicate. In this sense, he's just a product of a system. Do you really think a package of Jameer, Anderson, and Reddick will be enough to entice any team, even in a 3 way trade, to send us a Ellis/Iguodala/Nash star-level type of player?
