Please Welcome Mike from Illinois to the OPP Writing Team
Longtime readers of Orlando Pinstriped Post no doubt know Mike from Illinois, a member of this community for nearly four years. His even-tempered, statisticlly inflected comments in these pages have drawn praise from Orlando Magic fans of all (pin)stripes, and today I'm pleased to introduce Mike as OPP's newest writer.
Mike and I will split Magic game recapping duties here on in; the shortened season, combined with my own schedule, made running the site on my own impractical. He's recapped a few games for OPP already. Please join me in welcoming him aboard.
We invite you to follow Orlando Pinstriped Post on Twitter and like Orlando Pinstriped Post on Facebook.

Welcome Mike.
Thanks Evan and Mike for always writing great posts for this blog.
Congrats!
Well deserved! Always enjoyed knowing exactly how terrible the Magic played right after the game :P
FEAR THE MEER!
I knew it!
Haha. I kinda noticed that Evan’s finding it difficult lately and he needed help. And Mike was an obvious candidate. Welcome Mike. And good luck and congratulations to the both of you.
Congrats!
Always appreciated your stats oriented comments, good luck Mike, already enjoying your first game recaps!

Do we get a real name now?
(e.g., Ben Q. Rock = Evan Dunlap)

Congratulations, Mike. You are always one of my favorite members to read posts from and I'm glad you're part of the OPP team
Congrats again :)

Congrats Mike. I've always enjoyed reading your stats, and to the point posts.
Keep up the good work!
Whoever heard of a cat eating porridge? Why can't we have a mouse like other pussycats?
Congratulations, Mike!
And great move, Evan-you really maintain a very high level of quality on this site.
I’m looking forward to all of Mike’s contributions in the future.
I don't get the whole 'pop-tart cats pooping rainbows thing,' but then, I'm old. So, there it is.
Congrats Mike, well deserved
Look forward to more posts!

All that hard work and number crunching paid off. I’m looking forward to more of it. :)

Thanks, Evan and everyone!
It’s been great being part of OPP for four years. There’s many passionate and intelligent members here.
I’ve learned so much from Evan and Eddy Rivera in that time, and have always admired their writing and analytical skills regarding Magic Basketball and the NBA. Admittedly, I’m not at their skill level, but I have my areas of strength when it comes to writing.
I appreciate the feedback – positive or negative – regarding my game recaps. Thanks again!

Don't be modest
Nobody else here deserved it more. Insightful writing and an all around good guy in a sea of jerks (including myself in that). Good luck to you, we should be thanking you not the other way around.
Congrats!
Always look forward to additional insight from Mike. Very informative.

Congrats Mike
Always enjoyed your posts on the old blog.. Evan made a great choice to help out here.. Look forward to your updates..
Congratulations, Mike.
Always loved the stats and now it’s just all official like.
Too depressed to think of a sig.
Congrats Mike
Always enjoyed reading your post!
Hooray!
Now I don’t have to look through the comments to get to Mike’s post after games. Also I hope this can free Evan up to do some more editorial-type writings. I always enjoy those because I appreciate his opinion and analysis but he gets bogged down with game recaps sometimes.
The intensity has to go up, up! Not down...UP! -Stan Van Gundy
We can all honestly say...
…that this blog went from very good, to top of the list! I also joined about the same time as Mike and have always looked for his stats and insight. He doesn’t hide behind the numbers, he stands in front of them and uses them to support his analysis. Evan can do what he does: look for little nuances and insider information to keep us informed while pondering and debating our team. If this is result of the ‘lockout’, then give me more lemonade!
Here, here!
The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike.

Mike, thank you
Evan is great, but a one man job is too much for this duty. Live long and prosper.
Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.
