Would you trade Nelson and QRich for Steve Nash?
I hate to bring this up because Jameer finally seems to not be sucking but looking at the overall body of work and seeing that we might be best suited going for broke this season, should the Magic try to get Steve Nash from the Suns and if so what would you give up in exchange? I'm not suggesting that the Suns are looking to deal Nash, but they aren't going anywhere and if they wanted to put him on a contender, I think we would be the best fit for him. I was watching the Suns/Lakers game last night and was just simply coveting his passing abilities. Dude finished with 17 assists. Can you imagine Nash with Hedo, Ryan, JRich and Dwight as options? Would Dwight get over losing Jameer to play with Nash in return? IMO this would be a sick sick team.

But it ain’t gonna happen.

Yes.
But Phoenix doesn’t make that deal.

Maybe none
There’s not a lot of talent the Magic would give up that the Suns would want.

yea
but why would they? Nelson has is on the decline as we can see, QRich is a backup SF also on the decline. Steve Nash for young players is the only thing that makes sense.

NO TRADE FOR NASH
I wouldn’t trade neither one for Nash, he appears to be getting older and slower, I would find a young, healthy, high calibur shooter thats consistent on a nightly basis.

lolwat?
This is Nash’s best season since about 06-07. He’s dominating.
If young, healthy, consistent, high calibre shooters were that easy to sign, the Knicks wouldn’t have just given JR Smith $2.5m.

A guard.

Not to mention
Leading the league in assists by a hefty margin. Dude’s balling this year.
How long would he last away from the PHX training staff?
Do we think that having a healthy Steve Nash “this year” and maybe one more year before he retires…would that entice Howard to resign a 5 year contract?
I’m not being sarcastic or smug…I’m really curious what you and others think. Would a great PG (and Nash is amazing) for a year or two now be enough to land a long-term deal with Howard?

Getting Nash is double or nothing
Given he’s a FA at the end of the season too.
Title or bust, though…

If Orlando wins a title
It will be increasingly difficult for Dwight to walk without seeming like a douche in search of endorsement money ans nothing else. The ‘I want to win’ pitch becomes impossible and Dwight is clearly concerned about being well-liked.

Unfortunately,
Any realistic variation of this deal would probably include JJ, Ryan, and Jameer. We’d have to gut our team and I’m not sure Otis is ready to do that. A small tweak might be explored before the trade deadline (Backup Center) but I’m operating under the assumption this team won’t change much come March 15th. Dwight included.
Would I? Yes.
Would PHX do that deal? Hell no.
