Hasheem Thabeet just got his 1st career double-double. I know he's not the supertar that people tought he could be, but he's not complete trash as some people tought he was, the thunder make him a decent player, it's an example of how the team culture plays an important role in player development. Teams like the spurs & thunder are examples of great player development. The Magic are great in player development too, even in the Otis Smith era. In the past, most of the magic young players reach their potential. Dwight, Jameer, Redick, Courtney Lee, Gortat, Ryan Anderson, Bass, all of them develop into good players, arguably the best players they could have been
In the other hand teams like the Wizards, Kings & Raptors have a horrendous player development.
Some examples of players that i would like the magic trade for:
Jan Vesely: The wizards already give up with him, he's really raw, he has a lot to learn but he's young a could be a nice player.
Alec Burks: i don't know what the Jazz are doing with him, he had a good rookie season but they don't play him at all, i think he could be something special.
Derrick Williams: he has talent, but some people are concerned that he's a knucklehead, I think that with the right Coach and with the right Franchise he could be a great player
Jimmer Fredette: He could learn a lot of things from JJ Redick, he has good shooting & Passing instincts, if the Kings give up on him, the Magic could develop him into a good starting caliber PG.
Sorry if i misspelled something or make grammar mistakes, my english isn't that good.
We should take Dario Saric in the Draft. He's like Turk but with more offensive, rebounding & defensive potential, but with the same court vision & passing instincts.
