Thank you. Thank you for consistently diving and sacrificing your monster body to save loose balls and to help inspire the rest of the Magic to hustle as you have been doing. It is often a thankless job, with no statistic attached to the hustle plays that you have been making these last few games, but you are selflessly making them anyways. Thank you for not shooting as many dang jump shots and actually using your God-given size to bully people around in the low post. Thank you for your pump fakes, hook shots, and using your body to space the defender away from you, so that you can get the higher percentage shot, and not get so many of your shots blocked. Thank you for your new-found court vision and your willingness to make that extra pass now when necessary instead of forcing shots like you had been doing earlier this season. Thank you for your help defense these last few games and yours (and Vuc's) intensity guarding the rim. And thank you, your teammates, and our whole Orlando team for the fantastic basketball that has been played against the Lakers and the Warriors these past two evenings. It has been absolutely awesome to watch, and it must feel incredible to be in your position now, finally winning some games and hopefully turning the corner.
I just wanted to say that you guys are doing a great job. I could see that killer instinct in your eyes working against GSW tonight. I love how much pride you guys are taking in winning and closing these games out. Stay diligent, keep working hard, and please don't ever relax just because you are playing well. But please know that your hard work is not going unnoticed, and is truly appreciated by us, your Orlando Magic die-hard loyal fans.
Lets re-start our winning tradition the right way. And that begins not only with our team's selfless hustling, but by also continuing to play smart at the same time. That, to me, is the epitome of what Orlando basketball should be all about. We are about winning the blue-collar battle every night, and we are about winning no matter what cards we are dealt. We have been very blessed as a franchise over the last twenty years with some very good teams, so winning has become a tradition in our town, one that is very sacred to our community.
So let's start this next chapter now. But keep playing smart, and continue to use your size and your intimidating hustle to your advantage. And let's surprise the hell out of everybody in the process.
