The Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors clash Friday evening at Air Canada Centre in a matchup of two games on four-game winning streaks. Tipoff is set for 7 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic extended their season-best winning streak on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. Reserve guard J.J. Redick scored 17 points for Orlando, which got another 15 points from fellow reserve E'Twaun Moore. The big story from that game, however, was Glen Davis' injury: the starting power forward sprained his left shoulder with less than one minute remaining and is out indefinitely.
Toronto's last time out: The Raptors remain in the Atlantic Division cellar, but have won each of their last four games, which victories account for half of their season-long total. Toronto withstood 35 points from Detroit Pistons center Greg Monroe in its 96-91 win, getting 23 points from DeMar DeRozan and sinking 10 three-pointers overall.
The last meeting: The Raptors defeated the Magic, 97-86, on November 18th thanks to a fourth-quarter eruption from reserve forwards Amir Johnson and Linas Kleiza. The pair combined for 24 of Toronto's 30 points in the final 12 minutes. Orlando shot 5-of-19 in the decisive quarter and played the game without Redick, who sat with flu-like symptoms. Moore and Davis scored 16 apiece to pace Orlando.
