The Magic announced Tuesday that they've signed Chris Johnson. The 6-foot-6 swingman went undrafted after four years at Dayton.
Johnson, 22, went undrafted out of Dayton in 2012. In his four seasons with the Flyers, he averaged 10.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game and shot 42.7 percent from the floor. He's made a living as a floor-spacing specialist, taking nearly three-fifths of his shot attempts from three-point range and connecting on 37.1 percent of them.
As a senior, Johnson ranked second among Dayton players in scoring, putting in 12.4 points per game. His 6.4 boards led the club, an impressive achievement for a wing player. In addition, the Columbus Brookhaven High product made a career-best 39.7 percent of his three-point tries on 5.4 attempts per game.
