Gustavo Ayón will not leave the Orlando Magic to play for the Spanish team FC Barcelona Regal, a report says.

Gustavo Ayón will not leave the Orlando Magic before the 2012/13 season in order to play with FC Barcelona Regal, reports Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, ending the speculation reports out of Spain earlier Friday afternoon created. A rumor said Barcelona had agreed to purchase Ayón's Liga ACB rights from Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada, the club for which Ayón played prior to signing with the New Orleans Hornets for the 2011/12 season.

It's still possible that Ayón will leave the Magic to join Barça after the 2012/13 season, as his $1.5 million salary for the 2013/14 NBA season is fully unguaranteed, according to ShamSports.

Orlando obtained Ayón and a traded player exception worth $19 million from the New Orleans Hornets in July in exchange for restricted free-agent forward Ryan Anderson.

A report Tuesday indicated Ayón will start for Orlando in Sunday's exhibition game against New Orleans, to be played in Mexico City, the capital of Ayón's home country.
