Watch: DeQuan Jones Skies on the Break

The Magic fell to Houston on Friday, but DeQuan Jones added yet another spectacular slam to his preseason highlight reel.

Stop me if you've heard this one before: the Orlando Magic played a preseason game in which DeQuan Jones threw down a crazy dunk.

It happened again Friday night as Orlando lost to the Houston Rockets, 108-92. With just over a minute to play, Magic center Kyle O'Quinn corralled a missed shot by Rockets forward JaJuan Johnson, pivoted up the floor, and fired a laserbeam of a pass to Jones at around midcourt. Jones, took the ball directly from the timeline to the rack, taking off just outside the charge circle to throw down a one-handed jam.

Despite Orlando's deficit at the time, the play elicited big cheers from the Amway Center crowd. The bucket capped another solid performance by the rookie from The U, who posted 16 points on 8-of-16 shooting in his 28 minutes.

Jones will find out soon enough if he's done enough to earn a spot on the team; the Magic have until Monday at 5 PM Eastern to get to the NBA's roster maximum of 15 players, meaning they'll have to waive three guys between Saturday and that point.
