Will the Magic even listen to Golden State's recent bid for Dwight?

According to Yahoo Sports the Warriros have emerged as aggressive suitors for Dwight Howard.

Star-divide

From the article:

"For the Magic to become intrigued with package, two things would likely have to appeal to them: rebuilding around young point guard Stephen Curry; and the Warriors’ salary-cap space to absorb the three years and $34 million left on Hedo Turkoglu’s contract. The possibility of the pursuit could be complicated by questions about the sturdiness of Curry’s surgically repaired right ankle. The Warriors are willing to part with either of their two guards – Curry or Monta Ellis – but teams clearly will watch how Curry recovers from his recurring ankle sprains."

The Utah Jazz own the Warriors’ 2012 first-round pick, which is protected through No. 7, but Golden State would give its next available first-rounder to the Magic. The availability of the rest of the Warriors roster, plus future picks, would be wide open for negotiation, sources said.

They would have to take a huge risk to make a deal for Howard, but sources said they’re determined to try whatever it takes to satisfy the Magic’s needs for a trade – including the construction of more complicated three- and four-team trade scenarios."

Funny how the story says Howard has insisted he will leave in FA, I don't ever recall him saying this

It’s also a sad state of affairs for pro sports when shoe companies dictate where a player is going. Why don’t we just sell all the teams to companies like Nike, Addias, Under Armor and the likes and just let them decided from the start where everyone should play.

Please leave a message, I'm busy hiding my cat from TGS.

^This

I mean, ya’ll can correct me if I’m wrong, but I haven’t heard anything come from the horses mouth except for “…nothing has changed” regarding his ‘demands.’

I haven’t heard anything regarding his departure come from Dwight himself. Good or bad, Dwight, himself, has been very tight lipped despite what ‘sources’ say.

And I also like how the article states the 3 teams that Dwight ‘said’ he’d sign with. Conveniently, they left off Orlando from that list.

They always leave Orlando off the list

Of course, what would you expect? I’m sure it’s just a mistake.

Every time.

I'm torn. Is JJ Redick the White Mamba or the White Ray Allen?

I love Curry's game...

…he’d be a great complement to Dwight. But no, of course the Magic aren’t going to trade Dwight for him.

It's on like Gregg Zaun!

Could be serious. It's Otis, it's the Warriors.

This is the scariest thing I have read today.

I don't get the whole 'pop-tart cats pooping rainbows thing,' but then, I'm old. So, there it is.

I don't see how this is enticing to us

As far as trading Dwight, if we’re going to we should take the best deal we can get no matter Dwight’s opinion on the destination. I just don’t see this as much of an offer.

Damn, trade machine's being fixed :(

I don’t know if the money matches up, but I believe you have to ship out someone from our backcourt in order to fit in Stephen Curry. Of course this is all hypothetically speaking.

Also someone else brought up the Bucks. I like Bogut, not sure if he’s 100% back from his injury, they have some young players but I’m not sure if they’re any better than the ones Orlando has at the moment: Jennings, Hobson, Larry Sanders, Ilyasova (big guy who can shoot)….
