Nelson for Calderon?

The Raptors have put Jose Calderon on the trade market, and one source believes the Magic could be a potential suitor.

"Another potential destination for the Spaniard could be in Orlando, where the combination of Jameer Nelson and Chris Duhon are just not getting it done for the Magic. The team is loaded with guys that can score the basket but need a facilitator to get everyone involved.

Nelson for Calderon works under the trade rules and both have a year remaining on their contract, but that trade seems like a wash at this point. The Lakers and Knicks also need a point guard in the worst way but the pieces they would probably trade are not really attractive to the Raptors."

Calderon's stats for the 2011-2012 season are:

10.5 ppg, 8.4 apg, and a PER of 16.80

I personally would welcome Calderon to our team considering our need for a playmaking PG that can feed Dwight. If we could package J Rich or Redick instead, I would prefer that since we would still have Nelson as our backup PG and Von Wafer could move into the backup SG role.

What do you guys think?
