Starting SG: Who should it be?
After the 3 game trial run of JJ starting, what are people's thoughts on who should start at SG?
I could only listen to the games so couldn't judge things like defense and ball defense, just raw stats.
Looking at raw stats, JJ as a starter contributed: 13pts, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assist, and 0.7 steals (similar to his bench numbers)
As a starter, J Rich offers: 11.1 pts, 2.8 rebounds, 2 assists, 0.7 steals
Basically, they seem pretty equal on the raw numbers but wasn't sure how the starting defense and offense looked with JJ on the court the last few games.
I imagine JRich will be inserted back into the starting lineup based on inertia but the general feeling before these 3 games was that JJ should start, wondering if people still feel that way?
FWIW, the salaries of the 2 are basically even (JJ actually makes a bit more this season).
Of course, a 3rd and 4th alternative would be Wafer (but I think his defense is too suspect) or to start JJ and Jrich with Hedo playing point Forward and Nelson coming off the bench.

J-rich
Reddick is great off the bench and I think we can play with Wafer at the 2 and Jrich at the 3 at times while Hedo is resing, this will give JJ time to rest in case we need him at the end of games, Reddick had one great start and two horrible ones

I would not call the last game horrible by any stretch. Scored last 6 points if regulation and played as well as anytime not named Dwight in all around game

J Rich mainly because the second unit offense looks entirely disorganized without JJ.
Duhon is doing just ok – but the past two games showed he can’t do it alone without JJ or Hedo.
Well, technically speaking,
the second unit looks entirely disorganized without J-Rich. They need one or the other, not neither.
I like to watch.

I trust in Coach Van Gundy
…that he will make the decision that he feels is best for the team. No one knows the team better than him.
Whoever he starts, I’m good with.
Chicago Blackhawks... 2010 Stanley Cup Champions, and contenders for 2012
Chicago Bears... as many playoff wins this year as Green Bay... zero
Orlando Magic... 2009 Eastern Conference Champions, and contenders for 2012

This, 100 times this.
SVG is one of the best coaches working in the NBA by just about any standard you want to measure it by. He is especially known to be one of the most prepared and studied coaches there is. He also sees these guys in practice, knows what they say on and off the court, and knows more about the 12th guy on the Wizards than anyone here knows about Dwight Howard.
With those qualifications in mind, I’m prepared to let him make the best choice.
I'm torn. Is JJ Redick the White Mamba or the White Ray Allen?
Who is the 12th guy on the wizards anyway?
Whoever it is, I am willing to bet that SVG would beat him at a game of HORSE.
If the Magic must trade Dwight, Hedo better stay. He needs to retire a Magic.
Except somehow not by NBA GM standards
which I found shocking. No matter what happens through all of this, I sure hope we keep Stan.
Keep Hedo
