NBA Annual GM Survey
65% of GMs think Boston will win their division - though they don't currently even qualify for the playoffs and have played the 7th easiest schedule thus far.
Twice as many GMs would choose to start their team with Derrick Rose over Dwight Howard. 5 times more would choose Durant or James. All of this while admitting that playing against Dwight Howard requires more adjustments in play than any other player.
Oh, and no one expects Ryan Anderson to have a breakout season.

Aside from Dwight Howard here and there, you wouldn't know the Magic exist
SVG doesn’t get even a vote among the 8 who did get “best coach” votes, while Mike Brown comes in 4th (though he did get 1 vote for “best offense” along with 12 other coaches).
This “flying under the radar” thing is going to all new heights.
I'm torn. Is JJ Redick the White Mamba or the White Ray Allen?
Greatest indication that there is at least 1 GM who is more idiotic than Otis Smith.
Who is the best center in the league….
1. Dwight Howard, Orlando — 96.3%
2. Pau Gasol, L.A. Lakers — 3.7%
Please leave a message, I'm busy hiding my cat from TGS.

This is funny.
Because GMs are not allowed to vote for their own teams or own personnel.
So that vote for Gasol was Otis Smith. lol

Maybe Otis was giving the Lakers a subtle dig by implying that Bynum wasn't even the best center of their own team?
If so, that is pretty hilarious.
If the Magic must trade Dwight, Hedo better stay. He needs to retire a Magic.

I think you might be right about that.
And this is probably my favorite thing that Otis Smith has ever done.

At least he has sense of humor.
And seriously now, when was the survey taken? Looks like Otis is not the only GM with poor judgement.

But if that's the case, how did the Chris Paul acquisition get 100%?
"If Dwight spent more time practicing and less time b!tching, then maybe he’d be playing a little better." -My Mom
That is the case according to the offical documentation. i.e. "General managers were not permitted to vote for their own team or personnel. Percentages are based on the pool of respondents to each question of the survey, rather than all 30 GMs."
The “Chris Paul Trade” is neither a team nor a player so how would that violate the stipulation that a GM is not allowed to vote for his team or his players?

(it is also possible given the rules that neither the Clippers nor the Hornets GM responded to the question)

Also.
It is possible that that vote for Gasol was not Otis Smith.
Mathematically speaking a 3.7% share indicates that only 27 out of 30 GMs participated in this question.
So it could have actually been some other GM voting for Gasol, with the caveat that Otis Smith declined to vote at all and also the caveat that the rules were enforced to some degree.
