I will convert to whatever religion that gets this done
I'm not joking I will convert. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6cth3uw
So you don't have to look it up the:
Magic get: Chris Paul, Josh Smith, Quincey Pondexter
Atlanta get: J.J. Redick, Hedo Turkoglu, Quentin Richardson
New Orleans gets: Jameer Nelson, Brandon Bass, Marvin Williams
Do I have to waste any time saying why the Magic do it? They will need to resign J-Rich or a different SG and then have Gil float as back-up PG and SG and hope Duhon finds a game. The Hawks get 3 players and lose 2. They fill out roster space with semi-solid veterans and basically replace Jamal Crawford for $3 million dollars of cap extra cap space. New Orleans has a definite downgrade in PG but they are sending out Quincey Pondexter and getting Brandon Bass and Marvin Williams. Bass will be big since they will probably be replacing David West, Carl Landry, and/or Jason Smith who are all coming off the books.
Magic Line-up
PG- CP3, (Gil), Duhon
SG- (Fill in SG), (Gil), Liggins
SF- Josh Smith, Pondexter, Harper
PF- Bass/Anderson, Anderson/Bass, Harper
C- Dwight, Orton

OK, that's it.
No more Chris Paul trade threads.

Evan, I wrote earlier - and I was serious - that all trade-related FanPosts should be approved by you to remain on the blog. These trade posts are really degrading the blog.
No restrictions...
But in good taste, how many times do we have to see the same trade/posts over and over again…But in good taste, how many times do we have to see the same trade/posts over and over again…But in good taste, how many times do we have to see the same trade/posts over and over again…But in good taste, how many times do we have to see the same trade/posts over and over again…
It’s a bit annoying don’t ya think?

what else would you like people to talk about...
topics…
NEW CBA/LOCKOUT
Dwight Howard Leaving
Gilbert/Amnesty
Trades (CP3/J-Smith/Iggy)
This is the reason people create posts…new information comes out and people discuss it…
I don’t think people will start creating posts about Gilbert and Dwight planking although i’m sure you rather read that then speculation on trade rumors. That’s what they are, rumors, and people come here to discuss possibilities.
Wait, I know, lets talk about Fran Vasquez, because we haven’t reached the limit on how many posts there have been about him yet so there aren’t any restrictions yet…
that's all well and good, but....
I’m fairly certain I could find 7-10 posts on this site about this same topic.. Not counting its guaranteed infusion into every other post’s comment section.
In reality what “new information” has risen that gives this trade scenario any new weight? His willingness to convert religion shows that this really isn’t a possibility…
isn't it summer over there in the northern hemisphere?
Go outside.. watch or play baseball. If you’re an indoor person, draft/trade CP3 into the Magic and play him.
It seems like there’s no alternative to NOT posting in OPP.
or a roserbation thread to house all these trade ideas.
Smite Smith, Kill Gil, Banish Bass, Dump Duhon, and Trump Turk. Did I leave out anyone?
Because we're better than ESPN.
Not saying much, but still.
Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ESPN needs to talk about it.
For you know.. viewership. Here it’s just annoying as hell because more than half of the posts are rubbish and make no sense
If your best reasoning for why a trade should be done by a team is
“they get 3 players and lose 2” you should be banned from ever posting another trade thread, and quite possibly commenting in general.
You can't reason with stupid.

1st) No way we are getting CP3 and Josh Smith
2nd) No idea why NOLA does this trade, especially since the NBA is controlling it.
3rd) Atlanta is not that dumb, even if they amnesty Turk- it will be useless.
If it's lonely at the top, I'd rather be alone
cause the closest people to ya, the ones who gonna do you wrong
I'll get to work on it, and have my pastor call you.
I don't get the whole 'pop-tart cats pooping rainbows thing,' but then, I'm old. So, there it is.
Soul saving reeper
Dwight Howard - "My Gosh, what is that smell?"
Otis Smith - "That's the smell of success my man."
Dwight Howard - "No, it smells like a used Arenas... filled with... Turkoglu..."
Otis Smith - "You know, success smells like that to some people." (turns and walks toward a crowd of fans)
Fan#1 - (Disgusted) "What is that? Smells like a turd covered in burnt hair..."
Otis Smith - (Tries to act casual and walk away) "Woah, what's that smell?"
.. there's a serious flaw in this guy's argument.
This – "Do I have to waste any time saying why the Magic do it? "
Now compared to eltharion’s massive and thought provoking Fanpost, this is Bleacher Report stuff. Yes, please explain why the Magic should/would/could do it. Then explain to us why it will make sense for the other teams.
The same stupid arguments roll around with the other fanboys in Laker-land. They’re only taking in the arguments that “Dwight seems like he wants out” and “the Lakers are awesome” that it automatically means he will head to LA.
