The Warriors have a new front office
Even if the trade offers are unacceptable it invigorates the fanbase. They’re more willing to buy tickets if they feel the front office isn’t sitting back on their laurels. Great move by them but they’re out of their minds if they think those players will even get a minor consideration.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Any move Otis makes will surely involve his beloved Warriors. But this is laughable at best.
If Dwight is getting traded, we need several great pieces or one dominant superstar in return or it isn’t worth doing.

Man, so this is what it feels like to be a Hornets fan a la last year
A bunch of people who have no idea what theyre talking about thinking they can get a superstar for whatever they dont mind throwing away. Thank goodness our management is way better than theirs…oh wait
Im 15
and realize that this is a terrible offer but at the same time i thought Gilbert arenas for Rashard Lewis was a terrible offer but what do I know

It was a terrible offer. Just shows even 15 year olds are better at Otis’s job than Otis.
Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Well really
flipping a coin to make decisions would be abetter GM than Otis. It would be the better decision maker 50% of the time
Bulls fan here
Does anyone here think Orlando will get anywhere near equal value for Dwight? If they trade him it is only because he forces them to.
It will be almost impossible to get back a superstar for him. He is one of the three best players in the league, and arguably the top guy. There is no equal value to a player that can get a below average team to the finals.
What do you think about getting back Noah, Taj Gibson and Korver for Dwight and Turk? A healthy Noah for a full year will be in the running for DPOY. And did you see Taj on LeBron in the playoffs? That is a frontcourt where you will lose nothing defensively. And how many other young All-Star level centers are available? Horford in Atlanta is the only other one I could think of as being possible. And probably the better choice, But what do you guys think of my fantasy trade? Keep in mind Jo only will make about $12 mil a year and Taj is on his rookie deal for a few more years.

Another Rumor
Dwight for Lebron… I can’t really say yes or no to this one

It will take a couple of more "vanishing in the Finals" years before the Heat start considering trading LeBron away.

If Dwight told the front office
I am not coming back…you wouldn’t trade for lebron…

This is a joke!
Maybe if the Warriors were willing to include David Lee, Steph Curry, and were also willing to take back Gil (a guy they originally drafted), then come talk to me!
Has Otis said yes to this yet?

It’s seriously tough for me to decide how to handle Dwight, and I sure don’t envy Otis for his situation. I’m growing tired of Dwight’s antics and prima donna status he’s developing, but it’s so hard to turn down the Lifetime DPOY, so I can’t decide whether it’s worth the risk of winning a championship now vs Dwight leaving town in a similar fashion to LeBron and end up with nothing, or trade him soon and salvage some value from him
My gut says stick with him, though. Sink or swim – you don’t win championships by playing the offseason conservatively. I’m hoping this rumor of a franchise tag comes to fruition, that’d probably give the Magic one extra year for a championship run
I'm not sure where I am with what to do with Dwight.
I can’t see trading him. You’re giving away an all time great. But if it’s the same outlook at the trade deadline as it is now, then you’ve probably squandered the best deal you could get. I’m just hoping Arenas disappears and somehow Turk gets packaged in any combination of whoever, in exchange for either salary cap space or a top 15 player. Seems either is a long shot, but I dont really know
Since this amnesty clause hasn't been agreed upon yet...
I’m gonna say it’s not happening in my hypothetical NBA trade world.
But anyway – no way Dwight would ever leave Orlando via trade without taking him with the bloated contract of Gilbert. Hedo – the team could probably live with, he’s a better fit and a fan favorite.
Have you read Dwight's recent comments?
He said the Magic should give him more input into personnel decisions. That statement comes a couple weeks after saying that it’s not his job to make personnel decisions. Have you seen the list of supposed players that he like to be teamed up with? Most of whom are not available or would be a bad fit. Then his comments just two days ago about the Magic “not using Gilbert Arenas right”.
Combine that with all the other hypocritical statements he’s made over the last month and I’d say the fella is a mental trainwreck. I’m sure I’m in the minority when it comes to this opinion but I want him gone as soon as the first solid trade offer hits the table. I’m ready to move on and rebuild. Looking forward to it in fact.

If NBA2K11 My Player mode is any indicator, once Dwight achieves a 90+ rating he should be involved.
Which means, according to NBA2K11, he has a little more developing to do before this happens.
