We continuously had open looks and missed shots
He cant shoot for us. All we had to do was shoot a respectable percentage. These are professional athletes who shoot the ball for a living.
Did Stan consistently miss open shots?
No, but he did get them into position. SVG like any other coach made some mistakes but his players were just flat out terrible. Btw those who say fire SVG…who is better and available? Look at Stans record it speaks for itself.

all you have to do is look at what his offensive philosophy created. Consistent open shots.
if Ray Allen was on our team we would have had multiple titles. Personnel problems are to blame, not him. The only thing I wish we had was more motion offense, resembling that of the Pacers, or Bulls.
I think SVG has learned the "Dump it to Dwight" offensive scheme won't win in the playoffs

Atleast Dwight knows we're willing to blow up rosters in order to find the right pieces to surround him with.
unfortunately, he’s probably asking why we didnt pursue Melo, or why we didnt try to acquire Nash.
Or Deron Williams.

Good questions too...
But the worse; the REALLY intolerable element in all of this is something Evan said a while back: As thing are right now financially; there’s NO chance of getting even a medium-sized Superstar. That might be right, but is still unacceptable… to the Fans and to Howard.
The only way out of this, is for the Owner to dish out MORE money; BUYOUT BOTH CONTRACTS -Arenas and Turk. Then, trade them, release them, do whatever the heck you want to do with them… but get them OUT of this Team, ASAP!!!
We can’t have a growing Cancer among us AND keep Dwight at the same time. Every living soul in the NBA firmament KNOWS that Turk and Arenas are FINISHED, DONE, FINITO.
And Jameer, for all his talent, has neither the size nor the disposition to drive, drive, drive constantly and consistently to the basket. Howard DESERVES better. The Magic HAVE to bring in Deron Williams, Chris Paul, or someone with similar size, skills and determination.
As for Stan, he’s a great coach. There’s no one out there better than him drawing up plays and planning strategy. But I will stick to my view that he’s NOT a great motivator…
Watching Memphis eliminate San Antonio made me realize that… and feel empty, and quite envious of them. Not for their great upset, or the fact that they’re going on in the Playoffs… well, that too! No, really… envious of their inspired play, their complete focus and drive toward a common goal, in spite of having a team full of No-names… the work of a good coach, but even better: A GREAT motivator. Indeed!
Everyone gets some blame
Stan doesn’t deserve very much of it, though.

Awww, but laying blame is the most important part!

Gardner tries to deflect the blame from Stan but due to contractual implications does not go beyond that.
My worries are that the media is not going to get into the details of whose feet would be the appropriate place to leave the blames at. As a result, Stan would become the natural target by default when there are blames to go around … and plenty of them. Stan has made some negligible tactical mistakes in game 6, in terms of game-time adjustments – which I eluded to in game recap thread – but those types of errors are common to coaches who are so methodical in their game planning, to the extent that they become rigid in their game-time adjustments. But Magic’s troubles are well beyond one game or one series, for that matter.
Why anyone would blame Stan for this series is beyond me.
To me, that’s like blaming Dwight for the series. You don’t go after the things that are working and deflect away from the things that aren’t working.
The intensity has to go up, up! Not down...UP! -Stan Van Gundy
33 turnovers.... that does deserve blame

Certainly to a degree.
But you wouldn’t say “The Orlando Magic lost the series to the Hawks because of Dwight Howard.” I’m just saying that if our problems were laid out in a bar graph, the percentage that Dwight and Stan contribute to our struggles would be a much smaller bar than historically bad shooting, horrible perimeter defense and utter lack of ball movement.

Orlando needs to shake things up again
I saw a lack of effort . Van Gundy put it out there, but we were consistently flat. a A team of energetic mid line players plus Howard equals success IMO. Fresh blood please.
The team just got fresh blood with the trades.
Fresh =/= good
Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
