I'd have to throw

Earl in as the 5th player bc he could easily out play Ryan and Q and hopefully mid season next yr all of those guys

No, he couldn't.

He doesn’t have the capacity to be an efficient scorer, and he’s the worst frontcourt rebounder we have (not counting Malik). With all that going against him, he’d have to be a Garnett-level defender to earn time over solid players.

Bass and sharks are BOTH fish.

damn, that was fast

Weren’t we “the deepest team” earlier this season? Now we’ve apparently got “the worst bench”.

Funny how trading away your best bench players and ruining your frontcourt depth does that.

Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Amen homie!

We might SUCK sometimes on D and have little to no depth upfront but we dont have to worry about those weak drives and mysterious injuries

And that 60% true shooting.

I’d HATE to see a wing player scoring efficiently.

Bass and sharks are BOTH fish.

Don't forget...

Carter may be efficient; but… noticed how he REALLY sucks when the game is on the line, missing looong after looong shots to bring down his team? Just take a look at the Suns-Lakers game; it was Gortat who did the job; not Carter!

I, for one am glad he’s not around to do THAT to the Magic anymore…

A smart team

Would realise he’s not a closer and not ask him to take those shots.

That doesn’t invalidate his many other contributions.

What wing player with 60% TS%?

VC’s best ever was 55.9% and his career average is 53.7%

Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.

If you have really mediocre starters and good bench players, it doesn't really add up.

I think JVG, as per usual, is exaggerating. Anything to deviate from “being biased” towards his brother, so he decides to bag out the bench (where Stan is sitting as well).

Having Q over JJ results in a lot of lost offensive production. Brian Serra has chosen to focus on offensive stats, negating the improvement Q may have given. Then there’s Central Florida’s black hole, Chris Duhon.

How much has Q really given?

Has played limited minutes… Only played meaningful minutes in 6 games since March. His presence as a defensive stopper is EXTREMELY overstated. He is a good matchup on certain players, but that’s it.

And yes, I focused mainly on offensive stats, but I think W/L is the ultimate measure… right? With that being said, in those 6 games that Q has played the Magic are 5-1. However, only two of those teams were legitimately good.

q-rich - m. barnes

barnes cut to the basket better and he put effort on D. q-rich has a better 3pt shot and rebounds better. My problem w/ q is he takes costly/dumb 3 pointers. One that sticks out to me is the last game against the Bulls. We were up and he decided to take an early shot clock 3, which missed, and the Bulls went on a short run to tie at the end of the 1st quarter.

Looks the same. lol.
