Waiver Players
Should the Magic try and sign any of the recently waived players? Carlos Arroyo, after watching Duhon in that Knicks game last night, he could barely get the ball across half court. It makes me wonder if something happened to Arenas or Nelson, we need an upgrade there. Eddy Curry, obviously this guy has had numerous problems over the past few years with his weight and effort. Would playing for a contender motivate him? He's a huge body who could fill the middle for 10 minutes a night when Dwight catches a breather. Low risk, high reward with him I think. And Al Thornton. Can play the 3 or 4. Would add some athleticism. What do you guys think?

azubuike would be a nice addition if jrich doesnt reach an agreement with orlando with his extension.on the other hand, we really need a back up C to get howard some rest for him to be fresh come playoff time

They're all awful
If you just want a fat tall guy to play a few minutes, you can go to the D-League and get a vastly better player than Curry. He’s completely done. If he spend the next 5 months working his ass off he might get into the league next year, but I can’t see a contender taking a gamble on him this season. He’s garbage.
Arroyo’s completely useless defensively and, OK, he’s shooting the ball reasonably well, but he’s not going to have anyone creating the shots for him that James and Wade were if he came to Orlando, and he literally does nothing else.
Thornton would be a nothing addition. We already have Clark and Richardson not getting enough minutes.
evan, among the available waived players who best fits our team?

None of them. They're points and wings. Magic are set there. They need a big.
And the only big guy who got waived/bought out is Eddy Curry. And he’s played 70-something minutes in the last three years because he’s so out-of-shape and generally bad at basketball.
If they sign anyone, I’ll be surprised.
