The sky is fallin!

First, I say this somewhat tongue in check based on a lot of the commentators here, but also a bit seriously as the Celtics are potentially going to make a move that Orlando should make and it would likely make the Celtics nearly unbeatable this year.

The rumored Celtics acquisition - Shane Battier.  Battier is a highly regarded "glue" guy who also plays excellent defense on the wings.  He routinely guards opponents best wing player and is one of the toughest defenders on Kobe.  Sounds like a player the Magic could use, right?

I still maintain the best semi-realistic move the Magic could make is to trade J. Richardson and whatever other chip (draft rights, Anderson, etc) for Battier, B. Miller, and C. Lee.  That vastly improves our wing defense, adds backup C depth, and sets our SG lineup for the future at a relatively cheap costs (JJ and C Lee).

If the Magic let the Celtics get Battier, they are crazy and stupid.  Not sure what the Celtics can offer over the Magic as they have a bunch of late career vets who are untouchable and not much young tradeable talent.
