Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Courtney Lee should be in Pinstripes.

I'll admit off the bat that I am quite bias towards Courtney Lee. Fell in love with the way he played in a Magic uniform as well as his overall demeanor and energy while here for us in Orlando, and his performance in the playoffs solidified that for me. Taking one of the most intense elbows to the face from one of the biggest men in the league, only to come back in the ECF to throw it down on more than one occasion with Lebron chasing him even after being blocked before by him. If you're foolish enough to say that he blew the Finals for us or that he should have made that miracle lay-in, not lay-up, because he was more of just guiding a miracle lob towards the rim, then just get off this site. We had a hard-nosed(no pun intended) rookie who STARTED in the NBA FINALS and loved playing DEFENSE with ENERGY against the best wing perimeter players in the league. In my opinion that is who we should be talking about bringing back to the team. Him being traded away for a half-retired VC clearly proved to be a flop. I think a combo of C. Lee and JJ as our guards is more than enough for that position. You could start JJ most games if you wanted, but when you come up against the teams like Miami, LA, Houston, or others with a potent SG you could start C. Lee for that defensive presence. And that's not to say he can't score too. We all saw him drain 3's, drive the lane with intensity and absolutely no fear. And lets not forget he averaged about 30ppg in college. The best thing Otis could do for this team now and the long run is to bring Lee back to the pinstripes. Losing him to Chicago would create another team in the east that has young and potent talent where as we would be one step closer to having half of our roster retire together.

Otis, I don't know how else to put this, but BRING COURTNEY HOME!!!! so what if he didn't play for Golden State at some point in his career. He never should have been sent away to begin with, and if you're not careful, you may not get a chance to get him back before another team decides to lock him in for the long run.

I'd love to have him back...

But who are we kidding? Courtney will be another great body that got away from us for close to nothing (w. the exception of Ryan Anderson).

Yeah.

All we got for Courtney Lee was a player better than Courtney Lee.

Oh, and Vince Carter, who was very good for us for a year and a half, until we traded him and Gortat for two MORE players better than Courtney Lee.

Bass and sharks are BOTH fish.

Yeah, I miss him

Loved him when he was here, but I think he’s gone for good.

Courtney Lee probably won't be going to the Bulls

The Bulls reportedly turned down an offer of Lee for Omer Asik recently.

I don't think Courtney Lee would look good on the Yankees at all.

Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I doubt that Courtney Lee would have such a big impact on the team in its current state of affairs.

With no intention to slight his value to the team, the best thing about our starting shooting guard is his expiring contract, in my view.

Your man love for Courtney Lee is a bit disturbing.
