Bynum The Worst Thing That Could Happen To The Magic!!

I would rather get absolutely nothing then get Andrew Bynum!! I dont want that guy here!! He is the most overrated and injury prone player in the NBA. He's not even that good to begin with. The last thing we need is another Grant Hill here. People talk this guy up like he is this legend in the making and he's not!! He is a slightly better than average center!! He is 11 points 9 rebounds and 40+ games missed to injury!!

Maybe if we had a general manager with a brain we wouldn't have to worry about losing Howard. Otis Smith should have been fired a long time ago!! This guy took Fran Vasquez over Danny Granger. Fran Vasquez!! He signed Rashard Lewis to that contract for double what he was actually worth. He signs Chris Duhon for gods sakes! Last year he pulls off those god awful trades!! Arenas has the knees of an 88 year old woman. Turkoglu is overpaid and washed up and Jason Richardson sucks!! Gortat will be a starting center and double double machine for years to come. He was the only player with any value that was in those deals and Otis gives him away!! I have no idea why this guy still has a job!

I can only pray he doesn't trade for Andrew Bynum. By the way we had a durable version of Andrew Bynum on the team and we called him Gortat!! Same type of production and Otis gives him away and for what? I can honestly say that if I had to choose between nothing and Bynum I would be thrilled to get nothing!! Nothing doesn't count against the cap. Bynum does count against the cap while he sits out injured like he does every year. He's overrated and will never be an all star and he will never stay healthy! No Thank You! The GM that trades for Bynum is easily the dumbest person on earth. Why would I not be surprised if it were Otis :)

I'm with you on not wanting Bynum.

Dude is terribly injury-prone, and big men like him that get injuries early in their career have a VERY poor history of coming back.

I disagree that he’s overrated, however — when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best big men in the league. When you say 11 points and 9 rebounds, keep in mind that’s at a VERY young age on a very loaded Lakers team. He could be great if he stayed healthy.

But that would be a terrible bet for the Magic to make. If we’re going to make a trade with the Lakers, I hope it’s for Gasol.

The upside to Bynum is his contract is short.

If he doesn’t turn into an All Star in one season, we can wipe him off the books, which, really, if we lose Dwight Howard, is priority one. Clearing space to start over.

So you get one year with a potential star, with almost no risk.

We can get a lot better offers than the Lakers

Bulls- Noah and Deng

Clippers- Jordan and Gordan

Those aer two off teh top of my head that would destroy the Lakers offer

Hedo is the player who should get the most heat for our first round exit, not Arenas

If the Clips re-sign or match offers for Jordan there will be a restriction on how soon they can move him in a trade. (At least there was under the old CBA, so I assume the same on the new). FYI.

o ok

well i’d still prefer the Bulls deal or even NJ’s deal compared to the Lakers…man I’d rather Dwight walk than trade him to the Lakers

Really?

I disagree. A starting 5 of Nelson/JJ/(Somebody assuming Hedo is gone/Lamar/Bynum isn’t bad at all.

yea

i don’t wanna be a 5th-8th seed team for the next 3 years…id rather clear payroll and go after REAL superstars via free agency

I seriously would prefer nothing

If Andrew Bynum is the best player the Magic can get for Howard I prefer nothing! Let Dwight play out the season and leave in free agency. I would rather wipe the slate clean then have Andrew Bynum sitting on our sideline in street clothes half the year. Which is exactly what would happen! He’s not that good even when he’s healthy. 11 points 9 rebounds and the guy only plays 27 mins per game and still gets hurt every year!!
