The Orlando Magic have won 9 straight.
Also of note: the last team to defeat either is the Dallas Mavericks, whom the Magic soundly defeated tonight.
It's amazing. I played Chicken Little on what I had referred to as Black Friday, the day/night that Evan broke the inevitable trades that essentially gutted the team. And I said some, well, stuff (something like, "Mark my words, if Arenas comes to the Magic, Orlando will lose 1) Dwight Howard 2) The Magic 3) Birthday World.")
But I was wrong.
Aside from the fact that the trades created a more balanced offense, the other thing I've noticed is that we essentially dumped all of our worst clutch players (I hate to lump Rashard in here, and will acknowledge that he was VERY clutch for us in the past) and brought in three guys who live for clutch.
With Turkoglu inbounding the ball and J-Rich and Agent Zero on the floor, it's tough not to feel confident in the final seconds of a close game.
Finally: Seeing Hedo Turkoglu back in a Magic jersey makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
That is all.
