1. Miami-Only team to be in the top 5 for offensive and deffensive efficiency in the league. Soft schedule yes, but they are also pretty healthy compared to the other elite teams right now.
2. San Antonio-The best offense in the league while also boasting an underrated top 10 defense. As with Miami, they boast a soft schedule inflated by home games, but you can only play your schedule kudos to dominating who they have played.
3. Orlando-Still a top 5 defense and the offense is rising. The schedule has been absolutely brutal recently and they went on a five game winning streak. Also compared to Dallas and Boston the Magic are just a little bit more healthy(yes even with the potential loss of Bass).
This is where it gets tricky.
4. Chicago-Yes they have been the subject of my ridicule and me calling them overrated, and while I still believe that, they also play in the softest Division in the Eastern Conference. They will have a very good record. Their defense is a top 5 defense and Derrick Rose is a very good, despite being somwhat overrated. Them being here is more do the fact that Boston and Dallas have suffered devastating losses in terms of injury.
5 Dallas/Boston-I put them here out of the fact that I still don't believe any other team is better than them. Lakers are a mess. Utah is good but not that good. Oklahoma City plays no defense and is drinking their own kool-aid, so I am not buying them. After there is still is no one. So it is a weird week for the power rankings. Really interested in the thoughts of the OPP community.
