Non-Chris-Paul Thread: Bogans or Hudson?

Because I have nothing to say about either Chris Paul or Otis Smith, I'd like to ask my fellow Magic fans which diamond in the bench they enjoyed seeing during their respective tenures with the Magic. As my sig suggests I was huge fans of both Troy Hudson (T-Hud) and Keith Bogans (K-Bogz, and yes I just made that up). I used to say that they were my favorite players on the team and people would laugh at me thinking it a joke. However, there was something about the way the two played their heart out despite not being marquee players on a so-so basketball club. Though no one talks much of them it would be interesting to see which was the fan favorite amongst those who remember. For example, does anyone remember when Hudson had that killer game versus the Clippers scoring a career high many moons ago? I do.

Star-divide

Needless to say, while neither player was by any means a superstar or even a star they had a way of being likeable to the fanbase- at least from what I remember. Hudson eventually went to the Timberwolves and faded into obscurity and Bogans came back to the Magic after a break and then left again. But today in the midst of the Chris Paul Trade Conspiracies and the like, I just want to see who remember these two gems and which you liked better.

So just for fun I'd like to see, according to this poll, who the fans liked better overall, Bogans or Hudson?

I have to admit that I despised Troy Hudson during his first season

If memory serves, he shot horribly and then kept on shooting as if he was on a hot streak. It was really irritating. I was cool with him during his second season though.

I always liked Bogans, but I have soft spots for Magic 2nd round picks that end up with decent careers. I’m looking at you, Zaza, Varejeo, and Gortat. I also like to give a shout out to Chris Corchiani, Michael Ansley, and Morlon Wiley.

I remember....

Calling Troy Hudson THUD, cause he threw up so many bricks that’s the noise his shot made.

Never liked Bogans, or the other mess of 2 guards we’ve kicked the tires on recently, Mo Evans, DeShawn, and so on and so forth.

How could you have not liked Deshawn Stevenson?! lol. I am only partially kidding.

I did like Hudson a lot, but I think that is because when he was here and I was like 12 or 13 he looked kinda like AI and I thought that was cool. Obviously I am more of a student of the game than I was back then so from a productivity standpoint I think I am leaning toward choosing Bogans b/c he was slightly more effective. But to be fair, the 12 yr old version of myself voted in the poll.
