So we're still top 5 favorites to win?
I suppose not much has changed in terms of the Magic’s “top 5” status – it’s just the threat has become much closer, and much bigger. Though at the end of the day it’s still just one team – compared to say 2-3 teams with cap space that were looming as free agent winners. Everyone except for the Heat (and maybe the Bulls) could be considered losers this summer.
It's great seeing the Magic among the favorites to win
I’m really looking forward to a very competitive season.
As tough as the Heat are going to be, nothing will be handed to them; they will have to earn it.

Whats happened is the contenders that we thought we could just wait out as they got older and slower arent the favorites anymore
The superteam is in its prime and wont be going away anytime soon
I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?
If I had an account with Sportsbook, I would gladly risk 50 bucks on the Magic to win it all.
Why not? they seem to have the best payout if you ask me. I think we will be the #2 seed going into the playoffs and the Heat will run into the Celts and knock them out. IF somehow we can beat the Heat, how big of a confidence boost would that be right? If they win, amazing, there’s 350 bucks, if they lose, oh well it was just 50.
not liking your hypothesis
AFAIK, 2nd seed meets 3rd in the conference semis, and it’s more likely going to be Boston and Atlanta. But if it were the case this year like last, there’s no disrespecting whoever knocks out a top seed – because they’re quality themselves (see Boston 2010, Orlando 2009)
