Where the #CrazyNuts T-Shirt Happens

Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson is in his 6th professional season, but despite some solid efforts, he's never had a nickname that stuck. "The Closer," "'Meer Cat," and "Fantastic 14" are simply unfortunate. "Mighty Mouse" is a trademark, and not much better. "Crib Midget" is hilarious, but perhaps politically incorrect.

But yesterday, in the midst of Nelson's most recent 32-point undressing of the Charlotte Bobcats, the Twittersphere bestowed an appropriate nickname upon him: Crazy Nuts. And because I'd really like it to catch on, I made a t-shirt out of it, complete with the Twitter hashtag. It's available in white, blue, and black. And yes, we still have the Polish Machine and the Heart & Hustle designs in the OPP online store.

Crazy Nuts and his Magic are back in action tomorrow night.

I always kinda liked "Meer Cat".

CrazyNuts is very funny, but it seems a might bit generic. Plus, I think that name is more appropriate to someone like, say…Ron Artest because he is both Crazy and Nuts.
