so who didn't vote for Dwight in the DPOY ballot?
I'm assuming the votes are confidential, and no one's exactly gone out and said "I didn't vote for Dwight".. it's quite baffling, of course I'm biased, but outside of jealousy and a dislike of the Magic, I don't see why he wouldn't at least get a third place vote. I mean as much as I don't like the Cavs and Lebron, you can't deny his MVP award.

He was the only one of 20 ESPN related “experts” who picked LeBron if Dwight.

I'll tell ya about the Magic It'll free your soul but it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock n roll
The only way to stop LeBron is Smith and Wesson, but even that's a double team.

LeBron over Dwight for DPOY?
MVP, sure, but DPOY? Why do mediocre former players think they make good analysts?
Take of this and eat it, for this is my body, and faux cannibalism is all the rage these days.

So Ben, I'm having a hard time convincing a few people that Lebron is overrated on D
Do you any technical speak I can throw their way to shut them up?
They call me Curmudgeon McMiserly.
I'm a guy.
Uhhhh, maybe
He ranks as “Excellent” (0.606 points per possession allowed, 96th %ile) in isolation situations. And since I believe people remember one-on-one defense better than they do most other kinds of D, those plays stand out. Also, all the chase-down blocks.
But in these categories? not so good:
Spot-up (1.066 PPP allowed, 27th %ile)
Pick-and-roll ballhandler (0.893 PPP allowed, 25th %ile)
Off screen (1.034 PPP allowed, 20th %ile)
These data are from Synergy Sports Technology, which tracks every play from every NBA game.
Can you name a better transition defender?
Other than Ron Artest, who else would you rather guard the other team’s best player at the end of a game?

thing is
Lebron doesn’t guard anyone of consequence for 42 minutes of the game. He only ever guards the opposing team’s best player at the end of the game.
