Dwight Howard Needs Your Help: Donate to Support Children in Haiti, Win an adidas Shopping Spree with Dwight

Orlando Magic Photo / Gary Bassing; Used with Permission

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has created the Dwight Howard Fund and donated $100,000 to aid children whom January's earthquake in Haiti affected, and now he's seeking his fans' help. Each $2.99 minimum donation you make to the Dwight Howard Fund through Pinkdingo enters you into a drawing for the chance to win a $500 adidas shopping spree with Dwight himself. You can donate up to 4 times per day.

You can click here to donate to the DHF with me as your referrer. If OPP recruits the most people to donate, one of our readers will also receive the $500 adidas shopping spree with Dwight. And you know that, with Dwight, it won't be a token charity appearance. He's a regular dude who likes to laugh and have fun. He just happens to be really, really famous.

Dwight teamed with Pinkdingo to make donating to the DHF quick and easy; after creating your account, donating takes about as long as buying a song on iTunes.

Howard announced the founding of the fund last week with teammate Adonal Foyle, whose Kerosene Lamp Foundation will manage the DHF on Howard's behalf.

It's a worthy cause, for sure, and I'm proud to support it. Again, the link to donate is here. Thanks for your time and consideration.

This is my favorite thing about Dwight

More than the fact that he’s a great basketball player and it’s fun to watch him work, I love hearing about all that he does to benefit those who aren’t as fortunate as himself. He really is a true humanitarian and the closest thing to Superman that most people have.

Nah... maybe after we win the Championship

Although to become a Champion is a team and not an individual event
