T-Mobile Player of the Week: Dwight Howard
This post is sponsored by T-Mobile.
Another week is in the books for the Orlando Magic, who went 2-1 and continued to hold strong to the second seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race. And, of course, they could not have done it without Dwight Howard, who's earned yet another T-Mobile Player of the Week award.

In addition to posting the strong numbers listed above, Howard also broke Shaquille O'Neal's franchise record for consecutive double-doubles, with 20 games. He also shot 11-of-11 from the field for 30 points, while pulling down 16 rebounds, against the Houston Rockets, becoming the first player to tally 30 points and 15 rebounds without missing a shot attempt since Wilt Chamberlain. For that, we can overlook his plummet back to Earth yesterday against Miami, in which he missed 6 of his 7 shots and finished with but 7 points, 5 boards, and 3 blocks in 25 foul-plagued minutes.

He has been consistently great for how many weeks?
And people are STILL saying he does not deserve MVP or even consideration. He most definitely deserves defensive player of the year. And he has a solid case for MVP.
Howard has been playing on a different level for a month or so.

Until the last 2 games or so.

LOL, I'll cut him some slack.

Way to go Dwight
Welll deserved. I had Jameer in 2nd, Gortat in 3rd & VC in 4th.
‘Meer – 16/2.7/8. 51% FG, 33% 3pt, 86% FT and only 2.3 TO’s to his 8 Ast.
Gortat – 6/5.3/1.3. 70% FG, 80% FT & 2 offensive boards per game. Sick production from Marcin on an average of only 14 minutes per game & he stepped up big vs MIA.
VC – 13.7/3/3. 55% FG, 44% 3pt & 56% FT.
