Orlando Magic News for February 6th: Anthony Johnson on the Move?, Brandon Bass' Attitude, and the Super Bowl
- On The Move: Southeast Division
Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld writes that Anthony Johnson is the player the Orlando Magic are most likely to trade. "If the team can move him for a young point guard or even a draft pick, they'll likely do it," according to Kennedy. In 25 games this season, Johnson is averaging 4.6 points and 2.3 assists on 42.2% shooting.
- Mavs Morning Donuts: Where's Tim Thomas?
Mike Fisher of DallasBasketball.com, who covered Brandon Bass during his two years with the Mavericks, has this interesting note about Bass' recent lack of playing time.
Somewhere down at Mavs HQ, people are whispering, "I told you so.’’
Fisher later mentions that Bass is a "sensitive" player whom the Mavs "coddled."
- MAGIC: Magic's Super Bowl Picks and Barnes' Analysis
Matt Barnes, a standout wide receiver in high school, picks the winner of tomorrow's Super Bowl. A few of his Magic teammates also make their picks.

Too bad for dad the nba is a business first. I like the consistency grandpa gives us when he fills in for Nelson but it’s a business, his contract is expiring and he’s old in basketball terms. I like dad though! He’s given us some good old man dunks! Like in the celtics game when he found the fountain of youth and filled in for alston! Good times grandpa haha

We all saw what came out oh the "business" descision to trade for VC
some times I imagine this team with VC & J-Will at their prime...
It's still early.
Not sure what you’re trying to say with your statement, regardless.

It's not a stab to VC.
Rather, buttom line don’t mess with the team right now. Just my opinion.

DO NOT TRADE DAD
Fo reals.
He owns Bynum
"Memphis then used a pick-and-roll to get Conley free and he drove past Shaquille O'Neal for the go-ahead layup."
With Nelson's injuries A.J. was BIG when the team needed him.
It’s clear that J-WIll (who is also good for this team) needs to rest from time to time so
IF you trade for a young guy you creat more balance problems. I agree that this team in the long run needs a PG who controls the floor, makes the pass and defense good but I shouldn’t we wait for the summer to do this one right?

Foye for Dad, would be big for us, just not sure how you pull that off.
