Where Stan Van Gundy Coaching the 2010 All-Star Game Happens
Via the Orlando Magic:
Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy will serve as coach for the Eastern Conference at the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played on Sunday, Feb. 14 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
With the Magic’s victory at Detroit on Sunday night, Orlando clinched the second-best record in the Eastern Conference through Jan. 31 at 32-16 (.667). Cleveland’s Mike Brown coached the East in last year’s game and is not eligible for the honor this season. Van Gundy also served as coach for the Eastern Conference at the 2005 NBA All-Star Game, where he led the East to a 10-point win.
It's no secret that the head coach for the Orlando Magic would prefer to have the All-Star break off but as Dwight Howard stated on Saturday when the team defeated the Atlanta Hawks, it'd be "hilarious" if Stan Van Gundy coached the Eastern Conference in the 2010 NBA All-Star Game.
The dream has turned into a reality.
I know that some people are disappointed that the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest won't feature Dwight Howard or LeBron James and a player tailor-made for the All-Star game, Josh Smith, won't make an appearance barring a last-minute replacement. But have no fear, Van Gundy is here.
What better person than Van Gundy to entertain the media and others at All-Star weekend in Dallas? Getcha audio recorders and video cameras ready.

I have to admit, I was praying for this.
Stan is without question one of the most entertaining coaches I’ve ever seen. It’ll be up to him to bring intensity, enthusiasm, energy, focus, and aggressiveness to the All Star Game. LeBron will need to step his game up seriously.
The intensity has to go up, up! Not down...UP! -Stan Van Gundy
I have to admit...
I’m looking forward to this…LBJ and SVG . There can never be too many three-initial-personalities at the All-Star Game.

Off Topic: Schedule
This is random, but I was just wondering when the next game was and scrolled up and down the site thinking there would be a mini-schedule somewhere off to the side, but couldn’t find one.
What if you guys just added a mini-schedule somewhere near the top of the site to show like the next few games. It would be a pretty minor addition, but a very convenient one.
If there is one already and I’m just not seeing it, my bad.
Just a thought, you could click on the schedule tab.

SVG
Maybe he can light a fire under the EAST ALL STARS and we can blow out the west for a change. BTW Dwight has been the biggest beast lately, and I believe it’s because of SVG’s coaching.
