Stomach ailments for Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Mickael Pietrus, and J.J. Redick limited the Orlando Magic to nine players in uniform for tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons tonight, but another injury has further reduced their number. Backup power forward Ryan Anderson suffered a mid-foot sprain in his right foot when he came down on Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva's ankle in the second quarter. Somehow, the Magic managed to spare two players to help Anderson walk to the locker room. His status for tomorrow night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks is not yet known.

The absences of key Magic players left only Malik Allen, Anderson, Brandon Bass, and Jason Williams available off the bench. Of those four, only Bass is a regular part of Orlando's rotation. As such, they'll have to make do with eight healthy players for the rest of the night against Detroit. They trailed by a single point, 55-54, at halftime in spite of it all.
