Orlando should sign Larry Hughes with Jason williams injured
Larry Hughes is a free agent who avearaged 10 ppg with charlotte bobcats he was a first-defensive team in 06-07 and him and Gilbert were once considered the best back court. Larry hughes is also a good passer and his defense would be much needed against Kobe,LeBron, and Paul Pierce he is 6'6 gaurd who is considered a great defender and 3 point specialist. also he will likely be the 3 pg 3 sg and 2 sf because he is much better then Q-Rich.

The guy can't even shoot anymore, plus whatever MM said above.
who would of thought we would be arguably the greatest of all time
around here we developed such a sound down here
but duplicate it off the steel it can only be found here
4 seasons
Thats a little of a reach… he played for the knicks last year b4 they trade him to the rockets. I like the idea.
He can't shoot efficiently at all.

This.
Having Gil is bad enough with the poor efficiency shooting although Hughes is much worse. At least Gil can create shots for others, Hughes has nowhere near the playmaking ability that Arenas has.
Seriously?
We already have a logjam of guards. That’s just creating another headache for no reason.
Our main focus should be on a reliable backup center. Dwight’s five Ts away from being suspended for a game.
He's awful. There's a reason no NBA team has picked him up yet.
Plus, what do the Magic need him for? The guard rotation already has Nelson, J-Rich, J.J., and Gil. Duhon and Williams are on the outside. So sign Hughes to be the, what, seventh guard?
Hughes
I always thought Hughes was overrated. LeBron wanted him and how did that work out? Exactly. That idiot left a good situation in Washington. He is done.
This is the worst idea I've seen suggested in a while.
I write for Magic Basketball and have a Twitter account.
Off the top of my head?
Benching Jameer for Gilbert.
Starting Jameer AND Gilbert.
Starting Gortat at power forward.
Starting Lewis at small forward.
Not playing Ryan Anderson.

Doesn't mean they weren't bad ideas
Honor is no substitute for victory.
And neither of those ideas worked out...at all.
Otis Smith, what you've just done is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard of. At no point in your rambling, incoherent trades were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I guess hindsight is 20/20 vision but.. look what happened to our record
I know it’s a combination of mitigating factors…
Hey Eddy!
Do you think it’s a good idea to use both Nelson and Arenas during the closing minutes of the game, or do you think their lack of height/defense would be make it too risky to close out games with these two?

Q can't even get minutes
Why on earth would the Magic want a guy who’s an awful defending, small, bad shooting, lightweight version of Q?
LMAO
What good would he do for us? He would get absolutely NO playing time, is a locker room liability and he just sucks ass in general.

Do you just go around looking at guys out of the league, and then suggest the Magic go get them?
We don’t need any more guards. We need a backup center, and let’s not start with your thabeet proposals again.
are you serious??????????
youe have to be joking because that would be the stupidest move ever, we want another “BIG”, not some piece who is gonna jack up 3 pointers at a horrible rate……..HA HA I get it, you were kidding
If
In the highly unlikely event anyone is stupid enough to take Duhon and Q-Rich for a center, I’m sure there are many guards who can actually still play basketball out there who we could sign instead of Larry Hughes.

Just reading the headline was enough to warrant this:

He's almost as tall as Bass. . .
so I take it he would be the backup center, right? :)

Dalip Singh
might be a better option, actually, even if he isn’t a basketball player. 7’3 420 should at least be able to box out :)

still lighter than Shaq
I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

Shaq and Singh
Wrestling in the low post. They’d probably break the floor.

It would be interesting to watch. . .
Oh, and they call a flagrant foul on Singh for throwing Shaq into the third row. . .

Otis Smith made a big mistake not re-signing Hedo after aquiring Carter.
Howard/Gortat
Lewis/Anderson/Bass
Hedo/Pietrus
Carter/Reddick
Nelson/Williams/Johnson
Could have won it all, last season.
c'mon man, we can do better than that.
It was too much money and the move made perfect sense at the time. Besides, Hedo looks so much better when you’ve missed him a bit. And how could he had both him and VC ?
Don't mind my spelling. I'm a Typo Master.
had hedo's bird rights so we could have resigned him while over the cap
and then still had all the players to complete the trade with new jersey
And an even worse salary cap situation.
Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.
Hello, handsome, is that a ten-gallon hat or are you just enjoying the show?

Nowhere near enough possessions
For that starting lineup either. You’d have to bring Carter or Turkoglu off the bench, I suspect.
