Chucky Atkins waived; career over?

PrintSo the Suns just waived Chucky Atkins. This is probably it for Chucky's NBA career, which I suppose is fair enough... but I always liked the guy. He was never the best player, but he was a scrappy backup PG, kind of a poor man's Darrell Armstrong. Which made sense, because both Darrell and Chucky broke into the league the same way: undrafted PGs signed by the Magic as energy guys, who went on to play many NBA seasons. I wish him luck in his future endeavors.

I thought his career ended two years ago. He hasn’t had much in the tank since his feud with KB8 and subsequent banishment from the Lakers.

It makes sense, because he can hardly move now (relative to NBA standards) but it's still kinda sad.
Yeah... he's 36 years old.
The way I see it, if you make it to 36, that’s a solid career in the NBA.
Unless, of course, it takes playing time away from Ryan Anderson.
