Well, 72 hours have passed and we have a winner in Third Quarter Collapse's twenty-fifth "create a caption" competition.

Hey LeBron, good ga ... LeBron? LeBron?

3QC member McDee is the winner in the competition, garnering a total of 14 "recs/votes".

We'll do this again soon! For those that participated, thanks. If you didn't win the contest this time around, you'll have another crack at garnering precious glory later this week, on Friday. Stay tuned.

As someone who is completely unbiased, I like the new format!

The only criticism I would have is that some posts were difficult (for me) to tell whether they were jokes or recs

It may be worthwhile to emphasize that votes need to have the name of the poster being voted for.

Another possibility would be for E to post each of the 2nd rounders, and count the recs. If there’s an intent of “1 poster, 1 vote,” though, this would defeat that intent.

Other than that, I like the new format
