I have an unnatural obsession with the summer league
Can’t wait to watch today! Dante & Galante are the greatest crappy-basketball commentators ever!
They answered an email I sent last season
When they had Nick Anderson on with them.
And it was my little starstruck moment.
I’m lame.
Interesting, interesting...
I feel like Hendrix has a shot at the roster (fifth big man?), and maybe Rakovic, and probably one of the point guards. I feel like they’re underestimating Fields — well, maybe they’re right, but I’d say the Magic are clearly interested in the guy. Of course, he still has to prove it in the summer league, but you know that.
Yeah, and we broke your damn shot clock too.
I think Hendrix has a shot.

I want
Rakovic and Levance Fields to make the roster. Rakovic looks like he has Russian mob ties which could come in handy in numerous ways. Fields body type looks alot like Jameer Nelson. So maybe we can pull of a “Mighty Ducks” switcharu (Goldburg/KnucklePuck) with Fields dressing up like Nelson. He’s gonna have to get a huge “All Eyes On Me” tattoo but he should take one for the team
Neither have a realistic chance at making the roster.
.. Fields and Rakovic didn’t play, today.

Hendrix... 7-14 on threes?
Does that make any sense to anyone? Granted, it’s a small sample size, but why is a burly PF with 62% free-throw shooting even attempting 14 threes? Granted, it’s the D-League — nothing happens for a reason. But still… does he have an outside shot?
Yeah, and we broke your damn shot clock too.
Hendrix was 3-12 from 3 point range in college
He’s definitely intriguing, though, and has been working hard to get better. I read he’s gone from 9% body fat at graduation to 3% now, and he has a solid lower frame, so he should be able to build muscle on his upper body. He could be a future Millsap if he develops well.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about him.
He’s got the rebounding credentials we’re looking for. He’s obviously got some physical strength. He’s named “Hendrix”, which… I’m sorry, but that’s just cool. He probably doesn’t need a real outside shot. Hope he did well today.
Yeah, and we broke your damn shot clock too.
Hendrix played well .. contributed in limited minutes (10 p./4 r. in 15 minutes).
He’s undersized, but he compensates that with his size. He’s a big boy.

"He’s undersized, but he compensates that with his size." I love it.
