[Rasheed] Wallace will visit San Antonio and Orlando next week, according to a source, before making up his mind. Wallace is not likely to visit Cleveland.

David Aldridge of NBA.com says Orlando is on Rasheed Wallace's travel itinerary. He'll also visit San Antonio, having already heard the Boston Celtics' pitch.

Gotcha

Do you think Orlando is willing to offer the same thing he got offered in Boston.

you dont think

we would make a competitive offer to a guy who will definitely punish us if he signs with boston? that seems bad for business.

Nah' mean, nah'm sayin

I think the Magic will try, but the team doesn't have an unlimited cash flow.

There’s a limit to what Orlando can afford and unfortunately, that might make signing Rasheed Wallace difficult. If Otis had the money, he’d sign ‘Sheed in a heartbeat I would guess, but he doesn’t .. at least, if ’Sheed is intending to sign for the full MLE.

Hmmmmmmmm....

Then, all this giong-into-the-lux story is moot point.
If you’re letting key guys go to your direct opponents just because of $,you shouldn’t be in the tax in the first place.

Well I guess it's encouraging that we are still on the table.

He’s obviously not fully convinced Boston is where he wants to be. Hopefully we can impress him next week.

In terms of hanging out with the players . . .

If you were Rasheed, who would you rather hang with? A bunch of fun loving guys who are dead serious about winning a championship but also clown around in the locker room to keep things light (Dwight and Jameer)? Or some hyper intense dude that will most likely be screaming at everything around him 24/7 (Garnett – I’m probably being a tad unfair to him, but that is my perception of him).

I think what everyone is overlooking is that Rasheed Wallace probably won't visit Cleveland.

That’s a good sign for Orlando, simply from a competitive standpoint.

New to the forum

Been a long time fan, but I always gone to Orlandomagicdaily, or the sentinel for my news, I was ecstatic when I found this site. From what I heard on ESPN radio this morning, It is going to come down to either the Magic, or the Spurs. The fact that the Celtics had just about everyone but the towel boy try to help recruit him and the fact that he has not yet signed with the Celtics is a bad sign for them. Between Orlando, and San Antonio, no state tax when considering both teams, it will come down to where he thinks he would be a better fit. I heard he will most likely end up in San Antonio. The reason they gave for this was that Wallace likes to shoot the 3 which will space out the floor for Duncan. They failed to realize that Lewis has been doing that for the Magic. At this time it really seems its between the two teams. Hopefully he signs with us. That would probably make us the favorites to win the title next year.

.. I'm sure we'll find out where 'Sheed signs, soon enough.
