Ariza to Rockets

we can breathe easier... ariza verbally committing to the houston rockets.

this is obviously good for us, as he stays away from cleveland.  now, if only we can steer clear of sheed going to boston (though i doubt we'll be that lucky).

so ron ron and ariza switch places, and the lakers arguably get better.  artest at 6 mil per is a steal, imo.

Artest to the Lakers... uh oh

Yeah, Artest for the MLE is a bargain.

Shows you he wants to win ..

It's a bargain, talent wise

But I really don’t think he’s going to be anything but a drag on their offense.

I think he made a big mistake

A big part of what made him successful in LA was the fact that the triangle rewards players who know their role and stay within it. Rockets are going to ask Trevor to do things he’s not comfortable doing. He’s getting basically the same money that LA offered him but he’s leaving his hometown and alot of adoring fans to get it. Ariza was easily the most popular player hear after Kobe. This article basically sums up my feeling:

Lee is a horrible agent. He botched up the negotiations between the Lakers and Bynum and now he’s done the same for Ariza. I feel bad for him and hope he gets a new agent in the future.

Yeah, his agent .. dropped the ball on the negotiations.
