Fran Vazquez anyone?
So I've been checking out "Fran I Am" and he looks like a great offensive rebounder, dunker, and has length to block shots. He looks like a good fit as a back up center or maybe starting PF. anyways i know we drafted him... What would be the circumstances have to be like to actually get him to play for the magic? would we have to pay millions to buy out his contract? I'm just wondering and i tought it'd be a good discussion.

I've already touched on the subject a few weeks ago.
I’d like him to come over but I know that it’s highly unlikely that he will.

I checked out your story..
and they crossed out what his salary woulda been… what would you think it would take now? It’s also very nice to know his huge buyout is expiring. I hope Otis is talking to him cause if we dont end up getting sheed or bass, he would be another great option for a big man.
I crossed out the salary because I later realized he wouldn't be eligible to be signed to the rookie scale.
I’m not sure what he would demand from the Magic, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be a ton of money.

I wouldn't mind him
But he’s not really a C. More a rangy PF. So I’m not sure there’s a spot for him on our roster with Anderson being acquired in the Carter deal. Unless, I suppose, we were to make him one of the most unlikely SF backups in the history of the NBA…
It’s unlikely he’ll walk out on his Barcelona contract, he won’t get near that in the NBA. So I’d expect him to take the money for one more year, and then see if we’re interested in signing him or trading his rights to someone in summer 2010.
I doubt he'll ever come to the NBA, but you never know.
