I honestly think I'm going to miss Lee a lot more than Hedo
But here’s the funny thing. And this is not to take away from either player. But if Lee makes the layup at the end of Game 2 and Hedo doesn’t miss 3 of 4 free throws in the fourth quarter of Game 4, then Orlando is up 3-2 heading back to LA, probably wins the title, and both players are back with the team next year.
Lee will certainly be missed, but if Nelson comes back at 100% and we get a couple more decent players for the bench instead of some scrubs, that will ease the loss big time.

Ha, this is hilarious. Bron wasn’t even close to getting “dunked on.” He was going for the block from behind.

Going for the block from behind.. but failed.
So failing in his futile attempts to stop C. Lee while he dunked.

i will miss you clee
i had a man crush on you. you are a excellent defender who can shoot the ball and drive. last off-season i thought you would battled with jj for playing time. but i would never thought that you would get the starters job. you have suprised me. thank you for the year and i hope you will develop to a great player in new jersey (possible in brooklyn).

It's kinda sad
Not that he’s leaving, this is business, after all,but the fact his journey with Orlando is going to be remembered by that missed layup.
It is my first association on Lee’s name. Sad,but true.
That said,GL Courtney. I truly hope you’ll develop into better player than I expect you to,and I expect a lot.

Courtney Lee was such an impressive rookie and a promising player…i going to miss him more than anybody. The magic love to let go of good players and watch them shine somewhere else. But to be honest, for Vince, everybody that’s leaving can go except Lee.

Courtney will definitely be missed here!
Probably one of the few pleasant surprises for us in a while. While a lot of people will remember the missed layup, I’ll remember how he stayed calm and composed as a veteran in pressure situations through the year and into the playoffs. Sometimes you don’t get every bounce, but he worked hard and certainly didn’t look like a rookie out there. Best luck in your career, it will be a good one!

Really hate how this offseason is going and the Nets have a gem in C Lee
Between this trade and Hedo looking like he is going to Detroit, the Magic have not only got rid of the key players in there Finals run but made the rest of the East stronger

Hope this doesn't come back to bite us.
We seem to have a history of letting go of small-name players, only to have those players flourish elsewhere and succeed, i.e. Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Trevor Ariza. I guess the difference is those guys weren’t really productive during their Magic tenure, as opposed to Lee, who has all the upside in the world. Good luck to him, hope we don’t regret this later.

VC Trade
Courtney Lee is still underrated as a player. He was a solid pick compared to the Magic’s recent drafts (J.J. Reddick, Fran Vazquez). He, Howard, and sometimes Pietrus, were the only ones playing decent defense. I love Lee’s heart, which he clearly showed after playing with the effects of his injury. Any Magic fan knew Alston needed to be gone as it is Jameer’s team. The VC trade was a fail-safe for Hedo’s departure. As much as I love Turkoglu, I knew he was opting out for to get more moolah. It’s reasonable. Hedo was on par, if not better than Lewis, who makes twice as much as Hedo. Maybe Turkoglu will stay for less for a better chance for a ring. It won’t be easy to replace Hedo if he’s gone. Carter can still slash and has closer abilities Orlando sorely need. Orlando will show that this past Finals appearance was no fluke.

It was a traded that needed to be done, the more you think about it.

When Orlando finally makes a good draft pick, they trade it away. Sigh…
Courtney, it was an honor and a pleasure to cheer you on in the Blue & White this season. I wish the best in New Jersey and hope you can suit up for the good guys again some time in the future.

Lots of respect
I have lots of respect and appreciation for C. Lee’s play for us this season. Sometimes I would forget he was a rookie, because he played with so much confidence. I know he’ll have a bright future in the league; I just wish it was with the Magic.
New Jersey is really setting themselves up for a great team for 2010-11.

Courtney Lee was a lot of fun to watch
Not once all season did Lee take a play off, that’s all you can ask of your late first round pick. I was really hoping he’d be here for a while but that’s the nature of the beast.
When the Nets come to Orlando the fans will blow the roof off the place when they announce his name.

I really hope the lay-up followed by the trade doesn't destroy Lee's confidence
That’s what made him such a likeable guy who contributed from day one.
I’ll really miss Lee but glad he’s still going to a decent team with some good players. Opposing defences are going to have to work hard to contain two track-stars like Harris and Lee up in Jersey.

Damn sad to see you go
I think its a testament to how much this city loved C Lee and how bad our drafts had been to that point that when we trade a guy basically for an All Star Hall of Famer top 4 at his position player we’re actually sad and dubious and incredulous at first. I think its a testament that everyone’s first response to the deal was damn, no!, before thinking about it. After thinking about it, C Lee will be good in Jersey and bring them some much needed ECF experience :) Good luck vs everyone but us C lee

Yeah, that's how it was for me.
My first reaction to the trade was negative, but the more I thought about it, the more I thought the trade made sense for both parties, especially the Orlando Magic .. given where the team is right now.

Still can't believe it.
I’m still shocked, I thought we had a young nucleus and like usual we trade away a rookie that actual worked for us. First Maggette, then Miller, now Lee. This is sickening.

The Finest Rookie...
Courtney Lee… The youngest, hardest playing Rookie in Magic history. And one of the finest young man to EVER grace the Amway. Your courage, dedication, drive (pun intended), and personal conduct drew only R_E_S_P_E_C_T from this Magic fan, and my family.
My youngest daughter, Sara (8-years), picked YOU to be her HERO, her favorite player in the WHOLE NBA… OVER Howard, Lewis, Turk, LeBron, Kobe… etc! When I broke the new of your trade to NJ, she looked down for 10 secs, and as I held her in my arms, she asked, “Daddy… Is this good for us?" I HAD to tell her…”Baby; I HOPE it is… I HOPE".
I also hope YOU’RE alright, too… PLEASE… DO forget that missed lay-up; IT’S NOTHING in the context of LIFE. You have your WHOLE LIFE ahead of you; and don’t you let ANYONE tell you otherwise… We ALL make mistakes; you’ll have your share to own up to in the years to come. I’m glad that I’ll be able to witness all the GREAT thing that you’ll accomplish!
Just one small thing though…
Please; take those tattoos off… Never try to IMITATE other people, or the way they look, unless it’s their excellence in behavior, or the quality of their hearts; their generosity towards others… Be your OWN man: self-confident, yet humble, unselfish yet willing to take the game into your own hands, if need be, to win. Always commit to excellence. This, of course is JUST a suggestion.
I DO hope that someday, you’ll return to the Magic. Contrary to what many are saying; I don’t believe that YOU will come back to haunt us… for WHERE EVER you play, I’m sure that you’ll ALWAYS make US PROUD.
The BEST to you and your family, and… May Jehovah always bless you!
