Going to Game 1. Any Magic Fans out in LA?
I just bought tickets to game 1 on ticketsnow.com. Got them for $330 each after taxes. Section 304, row 9. Going with two of my friends who are also Magic fans. If there's any other Magic fans going to this, let's link up and maybe do a bit of tailgating before the game! Gotta stick together because we will be a severe minority at the Staples Center.
Let's go Magic! Hope to see you there!

I don't think I could deal with a sea of ignorance
Then again, I doubt it matters. It would probably be worse wearing a Kings jersey at Oracle than Staples honestly.

Member of the sea of ignorance here............whatever that means.
I would have sold you my tickets for the same price and they are better. Wish I could go, but I need the money. Sec. 302 Row 11. 2 rows higher, but in line with the court. Anyway have fun, and despite what pookey thinks you wont have any problems.
Try the Philly cheese steak at the City View Grill, it’s pretty good and the view is good too.

Thanks
Maybe I should have posted on here looking for tickets first? Oh well. I doubt I have enough money, but if the series goes into the extra games maybe I’ll try and buy a ticket off you if I can afford. Thanks.

I grew up in LA
and Its kinda bittersweet for me that we’re playing them but if anything, I feel like Ive already won since my two favorite teams are in the Finals for the first time.
But have fun in LA, I love that city.

I don't think you're going to find too many other Magic fans, jimbro........
You may run in to a few Magic “symapthizers” or bandwagon jumpers, but I highly doubt you’re going to run into too many true Orlando fanatics. If you’ve never been to Staples, you’re not going to find anywhere to “tailgate” either. The set-up for parking isn’t the traditional “stadium parking”. You’ve got the main lot that is highly policed and a lot of surrounding parking “lots” on the surrounding streets with people taking the money you pay and moving you along to the stadium.
Your best bet may be to pay to park a few blocks away (the more you pay the closer you are) or take the Metro (it leaves you a block away from the Staples and it will be easier to leave your car at Union Station). Grub it up at the Pantry over on Figueroa (great food and perfect LA ambiance) and then walk over to LA Live and “tailgate” it over at Lucky Strike Bowl or the ESPN Zone and take in the local flavor until game time.
Be safe, man. Remeber, not all Laker fans are created equal.

Yeah I dont't expect there to be many Magic fans at all, if any.
Figured if there were, they might check this site and see the post. Worth a shot. Glad I know a couple friends who live out here that are also Magic fans and willing to go with me.
I’ve been to a bunch of away games as a Jaguars fan and seen some heavy threats directed at me for no reason other than the colors I wore. I figure if I can handle a playoff game at Heinz Field I should be sweet at Staples. Gotta show respect anytime you’re going for the away team though.
Thanks for the tips!

There are always dumb a$$es whenever you cheer for the road team
Even when you mind your own business. People get stupid.

You'll probably make more noise
Than the Lakers fans. The Lakers do not have anywhere close to the best crowd in the NBA…

I think because we win so consistently and so often go deep in to the playoffs that a regular season win or division and conference series victory tend to be pretty mundane.
Ah, another Blazer fan bandwagoning from site to site hoping someone, ANYONE can defeat the mighty Lakers because his squad is too busy being on vacation come playoff time.
Again.
Like usual.

Enough. Please.
.. this a warning to stop instigating things. This site isn’t the place for this type of argument.

I went to a Laker game
2 years ago wearing a Grant Hill jersey(?!). The Magic won but no one really said anything to me. I was actually really impressed considering I got in a fight with a Raider fan at Qualcomm and I have been thrown out of Dodger stadium when Jake was dominating (again!)
Laker fans really love their team and just want them to win. But this is the Finals so if the Magic pull out game 1, I would head to the exit pretty fast.
Go Magic!

Yeah, 300 bucks for Finals tickets in L.A. .. seems like a bargain.
But I don’t know the pricing trends at the Staples Center, so I’m just guessing.

His seats (sec 304 row 9) are among the most "nosebleedly" you can get at Staples
Still a good price considering the game.
Fans in the 300 level are mostly the “common folk” and definitely more boisterous than the elitist vibe you can get in the lower bowl. It should be a blast.
