The Magic will change their lineup heading into the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavs, starting rookie Courtney Lee and returning J.J. Redck to the bench.

Coach Stan Van Gundy told the Sentinel after Tuesday's practice that he thinks Lee matches up better with Cavs guard Delonte West.

Couldn't you argue that the mis-match for Cleveland in this game would come against Redick (other than who guards LeBron)?

It makes more sense to insert Lee back into the starting lineup than it did with Redick who did a better than advertised job on Allen.

Good move

I think everyone expected this. People are going to be shocked at how well Orlando guards this team. I’m even interested in Anthony Johnson vs. Boobie Gibson, I honestly believe taht is a mis match in our favor. AJ has been solid off the bench and is strong enough to push Boobie around.

This doesn't make any sense...

Whis isn’t CLee guarding Mo with Rafer guarding Delonte. Stopping Mo is much more important in beating the Cavs than stopping Delonte is.

Don't worry.

JJ will get plenty of time against Mo. Laugh all you want, but JJ was a big part of Ray Allen’s ineffectiveness. No his defense still isn’t the greatest, but he is aggressiveness to move and stay with the more active guards and just outright frustrate them.

I understand that JJ will play, and I also MORE than appreciate his D.

However, you didn’t answer my question. JJ and CLee are not going to be on the court together. JJ will not be covering Mo if Rafer is on the court. I don’t get why we are giving Delonte the better defenders instead of Mo.

Lee can and will guard Mo Williams, when applicable.

That’s why he’s starting.

And Lee and JJ were on the court together during this series.

Turk became the playmaker and JJ guarded the point and Lee the off guard. In this situation, it would put more pressure on Bron to spend a lot more energy on defense, which is key to slowing him down on offense.

Thats the lineup I would love to see on the court...

And while we saw it (very rarely), SVG seems rather reluctant to put out a lineup that doesn’t contain either Rafer or AJ.

The best lineup Orlando can trot out is ..

Lee/Pietrus/Turkoglu/Lewis/Howard. That combination would be effective.
